you know you want my weather
Jan. 8th, 2003 03:37 pm26% humidity, feels like 57 degrees. Yeah, baby.
Today's been good, abnormal sleep cycle aside (if it's stopping and starting and sputtering, can it even be called anything that implies method?) There was MacroEconomics all the way out in BFE, UF. Which was cool, the lecture rocked once again, even if the guy sitting next to me decidedly did not. Problems might arise with the fact that Bryan Hall is right across the street from Starbucks, which could become a bad, bad, three times a week habit. Ran into Robin from high school and had a better than civilized conversation though, that was interesting. She's the second person to advise me that MicroEconomics is easier. Hm.
Score! New Rolling Stone from the University Avenue Specs for me! Finally. And btw, the pictures are even better than the scans and ET will have you believe. Mmm. Well worth the investment.
Finally walked my ass down to the Journalism Advising Office and ended all this silliness about majoring in Psychology. I think it had everything to do with coming to my senses last night as far as just how deeply my love for structure and absolutes and rules goes. Psychology is liable to drive me insane before it certifies me to help others on their way. To not becoming crazy. Ambiguity is nobody's friend. Left a note for my writing lab guy Al from last semester in his office one floor down, then ran into him two floors up on my way to get the department head's approval to get into Reporting and Editing. He's good, he noticed the bag, he flipped through it just as I had done downstairs in thinking to mention something he should score it for. We're gonna chill this semester. The change went fine, even if Al thinks I should do more creative type writing and McKeen in his three minutes with me thinks I'm more cut out for magazine journalism. People tell me I have listening problems. I'm just not sure though. I like the idea of daily articles and going out into the field and doing new stuff instead of three weeks of research. Final decision still pending.
In other news: Ashton Kutcher is wearing a hat that says Jesus Is My Homeboy. I cannot quite bring myself to drop Creative Writing. I do, however, have a great quote and a little spiel for my Acting class, which is decidedly of the good. And with that, I'm off.
