Now I lay me down to sleep...
Apr. 9th, 2003 07:18 amBut first, some important words about what insomnia-inducing madness I've been up to:
I can receive text messages! Whoot! You know you wanna whisper naughty things in my pocket as I'm taking that PR test on Thursday...
As Lucid As Hell by Sandy the Older. Go read this. Like, right now. I don't care what you normally read or don't read, whether you're in the popslash fandom or not, it is thoroughly original and fucking incredibly cool.
Also, Mary's Skateland AU. Read this if you ever went to a skating rink in your life - it's just like that, except the cast is all pop music kids. The dialogue is spot-on, the atmosphere eerily evocative, the status/age issues as big a deal as I'm sure we can all remember with much bemusement and eye-rolling. A charming, well-grasped stylistic triumph and why are you still reading my ramble? Go!
And then text message me about how right you know I am. :)
