Barring a mid-afternoon crash. Which seems highly plausible, as I've been awake since 6:30 after having had exactly two and a half hours of sleep. However, this has been abated for at least the moment with a good iced vanilla latte and a bagel (all for only $3.95!)
I really do love the first day of school. (see icon) I feel all snazzy in my low-slung corduroys, red flip-flops, and white girly oxford over black tank top. Preppy can be sexy, too, yo. The boobs admittedly help.
So I incorrectly remembered that they start ticketing orange parking at seven, but this ended up being of the good because had I gotten to the Transportation office twenty minutes later, I would've had exactly 2309482305723 people in line in front of me instead of just two. A balmy, boring hour later I have a shiny new Red 1 decal. Not that this solves my parking dilemma - and we thought last semester was impossible. I'm trying very hard to chalk this up to still-unenforced parking regulations, freshmen mistakenly thinking that Red 1 zones apply for Red 3 decals as well, and everyone going to their first-week classes, which is at least guaranteed to abate soon enough.
In a bid of final farewell to any prospect of making it to New York next weekend, I also consummated by year-long infatuation with Sony's minidisc player. It sits all silver and pretty ready for me to install the software and make all that carpark trekking a whole lot more enjoyable.
Mmm, pretty frat boys on the bus ride to the Hub.
And I wrote last night! Something I still don't hate! Seriously kids, everyone should be this easy to please.
