It'll just give me ulcers that much faster. And I have a family history, so let's not.

Concerns regarding the prospects of when a new *NSYNC album will again become a feasible idea. )

My consolation? That the fandom is still in high swing after almost a year and a half of the guys going their own (if, delightfully, not always separate) ways. It's great that this fandom (and not just because it's a real person fandom but because we like the boys as well as the sum of their parts) isn't like a television show or a movie, where the characters don't have lives outside of the medium. But we got here because we like them together first and best. And if there were a more dedicated group of people failing to make something happen through sheer force of will? Well, let's just say if ever there was an example that we do *not* have an in with some higher power, this would be a good one.

Grr. Icon. Did we mention?

I spend too much time writing essays that will never see the light of day outside LJ. As an aside, everyone should so read [livejournal.com profile] canalbaby's chronologies more often. Research has never been this much fun, yo. Smoking pot before concerts! Brawling over the same girl! Being linked to each other! However much of it is truth or crap, they're a hella entertaining read.

Also, y'all should read this. I don't agree with it, but that neither detracts from the fabulousness of the story nor the ingenuity of the idea before it was Jossed.

Can you love Rocky Horror Picture Show and not be into slash? It just seems like that would... take effort.

Caught a rerun of last Friday's Tonight Show when Jay apparently had Conan as a guest, and dude. Dude. That was weird. Conan's better on the other side of the couch, but it was still a trippy little good time. Can't wait for the special tonight.

Oh, and to wrap up: Lance's boxers are tacky, but I enjoy the thought that Joey's probably his supplier too much to let it bother me. [livejournal.com profile] beatpropx rocks righteously. I've only seen the first part of Justin on Ellen and am charmed beyond words.

Icon still stands.

Five out of five on my weekly Statistics quiz. And I cooked tonight. Go me!

I'm am hiatus!Chris, Tearin' Up My Heart!JC, which I'll take since it's one of my very favorites of theirs despite the less than flattering caption, and a boy besides, if the last 6,058 words are anything to go by. The *NSYNC Moment Meme insists I would be disgusted at Bassez, proving that it knows me not at all. Geez, an LJ username and your favorite color and computer programs think they have you pegged. Let this be a lesson. Would half of you love me as much as you do if I didn't have fantastic boobs and keep insisting Lance and JC are The Hotness? That's what I thought. ;)

My new shame? Celebrities Uncensored. Only because I swear there was nothing else. At all. But come on! Where else are you going to see Keanu Reeves stop a passing tourist to borrow sunscreen? *g*

Conan's special in half an hour. Ten years! My boy has come so far. *snog*

See icon for closing sentiment.

Love this picture. The colors/contrasts, that you can see in his eyes how so very young he was, which the oddly highlighted curls only emphasize. It's just a whole lot of mood and pretty.

Awake by Liz

"We'll just give you a little something to make you sleep, and everything will be fine," the doctor tells him, and JC takes some comfort in that until he sees the needle. His whimper is involuntary. He wonders fleetingly if maybe when the gun went off at the concert if it really did hit him, if he died, and this is hell, a place with no sleep and sharp needles. But Justin is there, letting him bury his head against his shoulder, and they'd never let him have Justin to take care of him in hell.

Justin takes care of JC after a scary onstage encounter with a fan. Which is rare in fic, but he's so good at it, from shouting at the people who deserve it to staying up to watch over JC and wake him when he's having a nightmare. This kind of selfless caring is an aspect of Justin usually not explored in fic, but Liz does it with quiet compassion.
