Well, maybe not exactly. But it's been such a nice day. History of Journalism cancellation was only okay because it means a baby for my prof and my getting to nap - I actually fell asleep sitting at my desk. Despite truly monumental amounts of soreness, I did make it to my third aerobics class this week though, so go me.

Yesterday was nutty, man. I was upstairs as soon as [livejournal.com profile] xalxuffasch stumbled from bed to squee about Joey in Grease. When I said bouncing around my room like a small, crack-addled animal? Not exaggerating. Very high-pitched and giddy and probably owe his roommate at least an apology but he's a fantastically good sport for listening. Then Miranda got on the line and a little later [livejournal.com profile] giddyupnow called saying she was getting in, too, and my god is this going to be a party. Because have I mentioned? Joey! Singing! Greased! Lightning! This is so his musical, and it's a ridiculously great opportunity to see him.

Watched the premier of Survivor last night, and am sucked in all over again. Lawyerboy in his snazzy Armani suit had me for all of 2.3 seconds, but as [livejournal.com profile] plum_evil said, that show is all about Jeff Probst. Sexy snarktastic bastard that he is.

Oh! Righteously happy birthdays to [livejournal.com profile] geekturnedvamp and [livejournal.com profile] liz_w! Fantastic ladies both, deserving of all the best this coming year.

Tonight will be good times with [livejournal.com profile] walkingshadow at Dragonfly and reveling in the return of Starbucks' fall line of coffees and desserts as we celebrate our week's respective little triumphs. Life, right just now? Damn fantastic.

And that's all Justin has to say to all the rumormongering.

What I Do by Synchronik

While she's around, though, Chris drives himself or takes a flight from date to date, so it's just JC and Justin on the bus, something Justin both fears and wants, so desperately that just thinking about it makes him shift uncomfortably in his chair.

"Just you and me, J," JC says.

"Yeah, C," Justin answers. His voice cracks like he's fifteen again. JC grins and slaps him on the shoulder.

Have I mentioned having a seriously soft spot for a Justin who wants? There's something subtly sexy about seeing how he reacts to it, to watch him have to try to make something happen. There's a kind of spoiled chivalry to him, a nature/nurture conflict that renders him a little unpredictable, open to interpretation by the author. This Justin is a little wary, unsure of himself in a way that should seem contradictory but for Synchronik's keeping his sweet earnestness intact above all else.
