I pretty much veto all of yesterday that wasn't Reporting, my Chili's cajun chicken sandwich, and ca

And the SNL spot with Britney and Halle. Oh my god! Almost fell out of my chair, not because it was unexpected because, well, duh, but actually seeing something is entirely different from just being assured of its existence.

I don't have it on tape, but it went a little something like this: )

*meep* Justin must be having himself a quite the personal freakout somewhere in the world. What kind of universe is this where your most wishful fantasies actually happen, you know? He must've been, like, the patron saint of orphans and puppies in a past life or something.

Oh, and because all the cool kids are doing it, my favorite of the new Justin pictures. )

Conan! Conan had a baby girl! Big congratulations to him. He was on tonight, too, and looked really good to boot.

I completely missed when the Marlins became a good baseball team again. Apparently the Dolphins are winning, too? Some Florida sports fan I am.

Because standing way too long in the middle of a walkway wasn't enough, I had to take the poster announcing auditions for a local theater production of Guys & Dolls home with me. Dancing is so in my blood, I don't even know why I try to deny it.

Mmm, Twizzlers Pull 'N Peel is just as good as I remember it. Eating candy in bed first thing in the morning is one of the particularly choice perks of living on your own.

That famous (notorious?) Vegas hypnotist will be at the Union tonight, which should make for some crazy fun. However, there's a whole day ahead, so it's to the showers with me.

[ETA: D'oh! A splendiferously happy birthday to one Chris Kirkpatrick. For starting it all, for being "the crazy one," for sharing your gift and working so hard to share those of others' with the world. Now go show up those pro sports players who think they know golf by default; just don't work Joey and Lance too hard caddying. ;) ]

Huh. It would seem I'll have a new roommate by Sunday.

Her friend moved in with her at another campus dorm and she went psycho, so it's an immediate transfer, and my suite is the only available room on campus. Her name is Mackenzie and she seems very, very sweet but poor kid, she looked so nervous as we shook hands.

Going against all my butIlovemysolitudedon'twanttoshare! instincts, I gave a very cordial grand tour and assured her that I was not crazy, to which we burst into giggles because, well, all crazy people say that. She went from visibly shaking when I let her in downstairs to hugging me like we were old friends merely because of course I wouldn't mind her cousins staying over for the football game next weekend and no, don't worry about waking me up when you move in because I'm dead to the world when asleep. In a truly rocking turn of events, apparently she does, too.

Seriously, if it turns out she has good taste in music to boot, I might actually like this turn of events. Plus, it's so rare and cool to be liked simply and entirely for being who you are, and she seemed ready to declare me her Valentine four months in advance.

[ETA: Winamp's throwing me interview clips, and some girl just called JC and Joey "hot pieces of cheese, like, melting cheese." To which, naturally, Joey inquired what kind. Apparently, pepper jack. Am tres, tres amused.]

Package!

Extended birthday goodness in the mail! )

Unrelated note: I was funny today. My brother did something colossally stupid, at the unfortunate suggestion of my mother, and as I was reaming him on the phone, I said:

"Do you always do what your mother tells you? I didn't think so, so why would you start now?"

I started this update around ten in the morning. I'm only now posting it.

Bear witness to the progressive and continuous kickassness that was my day.

Firstly. Ladies and gentlemen may I present to you, the instruments of the making of my morning:

For a girl surfing the Justin/JC wave right now, this one being the first about did me in. )

Lance and Diane! )

Justin on a cool autumn day much like we're having now, but circa 1996. )

Continuing our moms motif... )

Saved my favorite (so far) for last. )

Many, many more to come.

People are linking their concert synopses and encounters and such on account of Chris' birthday, and I'm coming to realize that I would give a very lot " " to attend an *NSYNC concert. To have my own experience of it, and not someone else's digitally remastered, edited for commercial consumption version of it - I want the banter, I want the imperfect notes, I want the antics, the flirting and the messing around and the ass-slapping and yeah. I surely would.

What does one do with spankin' newly acquired JoLa footage? )

Basement Jaxx needs to relax about their latent shame in collaborating with a boybander. I mean, nothing but respect for the props they've been giving JC, but a little less qualification would be nice.

So, Justin likes dim sum enough to open a restaurant with a "1930s Shanghai-meets-Blade Runner" flair about it on Sunset Boulevard this weekend. I really need to have moved a year ago.

Slightly modified Friday Five because I have neither a kitchen sink, a medicine cabinet, nor a proper freezer. )

I got e-mail feedback! Lovely feedback for Here's to the Bachelors, which I really do love a whole lot. *basks*

[livejournal.com profile] silentfire got on the line around six to tell me that it's all my fault and proceeded to take my name in vain... for having gotten Space Cowboy in her head all day. I see no crime. Even Miranda declared that her accusations would not hold up in pop court.

On the fic front... )

And now, coffee. T-freakin'-GIF, man.
