*sigh* So of course I get my LJ account expiration notification on the same day as my credit card bills and making out a $100 check to Housing for next semester, leaving me with exactly $4.07 in my bank account. Insult to injury isn't funny, yo.

You don't know what I would give for a solid three hours where I could be left alone, well-fed and rested, just to write. I've got an essay on short-run television, JC's performance analysis, a comprehensive reaction piece on the clips so far, and three fics I desperately want to be working on. And yet. Stupid research assignments.

Entertainment news. )

Not that I'm taking this to heart, but April? Motherfucking April? He started mentioning the album before that time last year! I've had to hem and haw and make no promises about Feb. 24 to those who've asked, but April? *sits down and concentrates on breathing* Rumors, lalala, nothing to be taken seriously, promo going on as I type, etc. *is better now* [ETA: UK release date. Okay then. Thanks to everyone who didn't let their sources finish a sentence or read a press release all the way through for the morning heartburn.]

I saved my brother's life in my dream last night pretty much by offering my own in exchange. Whoa. I know the rugrat and I have started to have better relations since we've grown up some, but wow. That was pretty cool of me.

Also, my side of the suite has officially begun to stink like the roomie's. It's the fifth fucking week of the semester, why is there still a cat in my house?

It would seem I've been embarrassingly remiss in birthday greetings, but actually it's because most of the month of December is posted as unfinished private entries. So, as a resolution, I'll jump back on the wagon for [livejournal.com profile] mac_girl. Amy did me a big one at CFTC last year for which I'll never be able to thank her enough because, whoo, what a night, but besides that, she and [livejournal.com profile] runerinrun are two of the sassiest, savviest, and coolest customers I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Hope it was a good one, Amy.

I've been saying it all week, but damn am I a lucky girl in my friends.

Wow. Y'all really, really didn't have to. No, really. I didn't mention the money situation out of dire desperation - at worst, I will cook Ramen noodles and Campbell's soup for the next week until I get sick enough of it to suck it up and call my father. The necessities are paid, and it's not like I can't live without my journal style specifications or all 50 icons - I really wasn't fishing for anything by mentioning it (inasmuch as anyone who mentions such things in her LJ can claim not to, admittedly.)

But thanks to [livejournal.com profile] desperately_, two anonymous benefactors and someone else who declined to have LJ send me any kind of notification (who all should please do step forward so's I can snog you properly,) I won't have to worry about anything LJ-related (for almost a whole year, even!), and that's a mighty cool thing. I'm overwhelmed and grateful beyond words. Thank you. *big, big hugs* Can I offer anything in return? I make a mean cookie. *g* I hope y'all know if there is something (and this, for the record, goes out to all you boys and girls) I have in my power to make happen, all you have to do is let me know.

This community, man. Gets me every time.
