I've lived in the South way too long to turn down fried chicken. Our managing editor's never been to KFC, and the rest of the office took it upon ourselves to show her a good time. Finger lickin' indeed, and with the Daily Show on in the background? Yeah, it was a party.

Diet and exercise to commence tomorrow. For reals.

Big thanks to [livejournal.com profile] trixiesfic for the heads up - there's going to be a second season of The Restaurant! Rocco is back! I have such the issue.

Was going through some footage this afternoon and found a complete video clip of the Temptations medley from the Celebrity tour, and eee! Eee! Sogood! They all looked handsome and happy and sounded downright fantastic, even with the tinniness.

My thoughts on the lackluster E! True Hollywood Story. )

Just because I don't get to sign up for the Lynncest Mother's Day Challenge (greeting card messages as prompts! Genius!) doesn't mean you shouldn't. I love my going-to-hell-in-a-blaze-of-glory fandom.

Am I crazy for contemplating taking part in the skydiving extravaganza going down on the 24th? I'd be in California already, I've always wanted to jump out of an airplane, I like Lance, I look becoming in yellow jumpsuits... well, three out of four isn't bad, right?

Joey! Modeling for Hilfiger at the Aventura Mall. As in my Aventura Mall. Well, [livejournal.com profile] walkingshadow's and my Aventura Mall, but Joweee! You couldn't have held out until this weekend? I'm sure the 'rents wouldn't have minded a drop-in. Not that it would be impossible as it stands, as I would only miss one hour of one important class on Friday if I made a long weekend of it, and... that way leads to madness.

Someone's phone ringer is set to Toxic. [ETA: Why yes, that would be our illustrious resident Britney fanboy/editor-in-chief, Cameron. *snicker*]

GIP the first from today's Lance/Jessie extravaganza. I bequeath the song happily.

Spent a bit of the afternoon redesigning my journal's color scheme. Oh, and the new theme is 100 Ways. I only mention it to reassure myself something productive transpired here today.

Here's something interesting: a linedance choreographed to Some Girls! No, really. Hee! Can't you just see it? Well, no, as I don't imagine this is the sort of thing that goes over well in country bars. But then, what do I know about country bars? The kind of thing I have for cowboys, you'd think a lot more.

Took a wee nap, too (as necessitated by having been up until 3 a.m. talking shop with a coworker and having class at 7:30 a.m.) JC sang me a note-perfect rendition of Come What May from Moulin Rouge - that is until I woke up later and realized I'd left WinAmp playing. Still, that was a treat.

Alternate pairing manips are a nifty little trend. All the JC/Brit today's been... interesting. Although the words I think I'm looking for are 'thought-provoking.'

Quote of the Day:

"'Plug It In' is a very funky slice of manic boogie action.... An enormous smash in a fair and just world - so around the No. 17 mark here, then."
-Ian Wade for musicohm.com

I should sit down and a list of things I'd change if I ruled the world. Not that, good god, would I ever want such a responsibility, but there are a few things I'd love to have a heeded say about.
