Louis, Louis. Still whining, Louis.
I was much too impressionable and even more naive upon first seeing Interview with the Vampire at the age of twelve. Mostly, the movie was All About Lestat for me (thankfully, this was the first film I ever saw Tom Cruise in.)
Seeing it again now, at the age of twenty-one, I cannot at all comprehend how I didn't choke on the glut of homoeroticism. I do remember being shocked that Louis and Armand might kiss in the Louvre, remember wanting them to, fascinated as to why they would and what that would be like. Latent little slasher that I was. But Louis and Lestat. Wow. I won't lie, I took a moment or two in there.
giddyupnow - I cannot imagine what we bonded over about that movie for what little I actually got out of it besides a love for vampires, an addiction to neo-gothic romanticism, and an unhealthy fascination for Lestat.
