You know what?
Maybe the Detours boy is right - I should resort to some violence. God knows I'm done talking to people and worrying and being near tears over this whole schedule/graduating on time mess. I'm thinking a few fistfights at this point would even be healthy.
Or you know, something.
I'll probably just suck it up and take that Economics or Statistics class I've been avoiding at pretty much any cost. For a smart kid, it's embarrassing how much a little math scares me. As an amendment to Miranda's earlier observation, laundry, math, and verb tenses are my kryptonite.
In happier news, my morning was terrific. Well, not the waking up part, but that's my own damn fault for reading fic for two hours after getting home at 2 a.m. But my Ethics class! It will be a glorious tag team effort between the Journalism department's finest - McKeen, Foley, and Rosenraad. I've been so hoping to have another class with the former two, who only teach low-level undergrad or graduate courses. *dances* And practically the entire Alligator newsroom is in there, too! Wonderful fun every Tuesday and Thursday morning.
Nipped home for the duration of a bowl of cereal, the week's issues of the Alligator so far, some schedule pondering, and a long, hot shower before heading back out for...
Online Media involved a lot of talking about chopping down trees, a bloody ridiculous amount of work, and officially became the first class I've ever walked out of.
xalxuffasch took me in after yet another dismaying effort in Journalism advising (unnecessary, as if I take 12 credits this semester, 12 in the spring and two classes over the summer, I'll be good and well able to walk with the rest of my class in May), fed me pretzel sticks and bottled water and even lent me the services of his bed for a desperately needed two-hour nap. Should be nominated for a hospitality award, that one.
Mmm. You know, it's hard to maintain ire when one is eating Greek food. Farah's is so my happy place.
