-O Brother, Where Art Thou?
I love Westerns, gangster films, musicals, sci-fi (but not horror), psychological thrillers, and have recently discovered old Hollywood. Recommendations are always welcome.
In other meme news, you should all be listening to the debut albums of Third Eye Blind, Dido, and Savage Garden. Also, you should be listening to absolutely everything by Jude, Ben Folds (Five), Sarah McLachlan, and Eminem.
As to an LJ to read - I've said before that I read every journal I have friended. I friend people for a lot of reasons. Some because they're friends of mine in real life and I want to keep up with them, some who so generously find/host fandom-related news, pictures, and media, some because they share my interest in pop culture, some simply because I like the way they say the things they think. I like them all. Read my friendslist. Meet the cool kids I'm lucky enough to share a playground with.
As for "daring and adventuresome," if it's at all within your physical/fiscal capacity, y'all should be skiing. If not, you should experience waiting out in the cold in front of a concert venue with good friends. We really made a time of it.
Today was crazy, but in the good way. I love my (hopefully permanent) French instructor, we're totally keeping my American Revolution class, too, and Fact Finding is going to be a very guilty amount of fun. Dinner with
xalxuffasch was grand, mais oui, and I am done done done as the three-hour 7:25 a.m. class is twice a week.
