"We're very excited about how well you did on the copy editing test, and could you start tonight?"

You don't understand. This is the largest student-run and one of the most prestigious college newspapers in the country. Daily editions Monday-Friday and this is the dream of every journalism student on the University of Florida campus and they want me! Sundays and Mondays and I get a desk!

I'm Alligator staff!
Starting tonight!
At the office!
At eight!

Thank you! It's outrageous. I always hoped but never really expected, you know? Our university is huge, 47K and change students, so this is... well, it's huge. I'm beyond excited. Such fantastic experience, not just for future resumes but a newsroom! A real newsroom! And I've always had a thing about being the first to know the day's events and what better way, eh?
