If I didn't have cheese, like, e-ve-ry day, would you still wanna be with me?

First order of business - anyone have any audio/video clips or just stories, even, of the boys missing/flubbing a line from one of their own songs? I've heard at least JC and possibly Justin mention this in interviews, and think it'd be fun to see/hear about. Also, any info about performances where one of the guys wasn't there - JC's quote about them being "four high-pitched monkeys" without Lance about broke me. I know Joey missed a couple of shows because of pneumonia, and that's just got to be a bizarre situation given their shows.

The boy came by last night around 11:30 since I had to cancel on him - I just wasn't in the right state of mind to be any good company, but he insisted on just swinging by to say goodnight. But we had a lovely hour-long chat/snog session before I insisted on needing to get to bed to be conscious for my morning class.

The roommate said he's "really cute." I would've gone with a quirky handsomeness, but sure. He really is, too. The only time I'm ever questioning the whole thing is when I'm not with him. Stupid insecurities! *stomps*

More or less aced an Editing test in said morning class. Though if someone's paying me to know it, doing any less just wouldn't be acceptable. Am going to an information session on studying in France during Summer A at four, then class, then a much-needed real meal and movie with the boy.

We're still not talking about the research project. I'll decide this weekend if that means I got in for more than I intended this semester or just some of that massive, unfounded stress I like to lay on myself every once in a while.

I used to have an mp3 of JC flubbing the lines in a song that he did with Tony Lucca at his first HOB performace (11/12/02), but it got lost in the Great Computer Crash of 2003. It was pretty crappy quality though, and since I've never heard the song before, it didn't have quite the hilarious effect that it would have, had it been, like, Pop or something. I'll see if I can dig it up from a friend, though.

I heard about this! I have a couple of soundclips from that, but I don't think they're of the song he flubbed. And yeah, in the interview, he was talking about flubbing the lines to This I Promise You or another one of their early, big hits, which, you know, drop-dead hilarious. *g*

That was actually Lance and the stomach flu. About the time they did Summer Jam. They performed the show as it would have with Lance, even flew his empty harness for Sailing when the other guys went up.

Hm, and see, the story I heard about Lance was that he collapsed because of a combination of exhaustion, dehydration, and his heart condition. Or did you not mean the incident right after the Disney concert? My early canon isn't very good.

And that's really sweet. I love what JC said to the audience that night, that they weren't seeing *NSYNC. *sniffle* I've seen a few bootlegs of their shows here and there, and not even the sound, but the structure of it makes it impossible for one of them to be absent and it not being a glaring, well, abscence. *hugs them all tight*

It really depends on who you ask. Lance was dehydrated and exhausted and it turned out to be the stomach flu coupled with the non-stop touring thing. No, you're right, it was the incident right after. :)

Joey did miss the San Antonio show due to pneumonia on the Pop Od tour. From what I hear they did call him though.

As for line flubbing. I don't have it on computer media, but Lance screwed up the words on the first take of the medley they did with Tim McGraw (on his SOLO!). He was thoroughly embarassed. FYI there were teleprompters LOL

[identity profile] gjstruthseeker.livejournal.com 2004-01-29 07:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Ha! Knew it was a California show somewhere around that time. Thanks for the info. But, called him? Like, on a phone, during the show? Because that's really, really sweet.

Were you at the Atlantis concert? Because, wow. And big, big laughs on this end at Lance. Poor kid is so terminally allergic to solos. And what's really cute is that he'd been doing the performing thing for yearsandyears at that point, to audiences much bigger and shows much more tightly structured than that, and yet. So cute! *huggles Lance* And teleprompters! There were teleprompters. I have no words for how cute I find all of this right now. Lance!

I wasn't at the show, but friends were and I have seen their video footage and it made me laugh... a LOT! Almost as great was Joey realizing that someone had messed up his t-shirt and in fact it said Rock NO instead of Rock ON

Okay, you may have heard of this one already, but I do remember hearing something on the television from those girls that followed *N Sync around on the Pop Oddysey tour and went to like every single show. They said that during the song with all the toys (I can't for the life of me remember which song that was, even though I attended a show and own the DVD of the show), that during the part where all the guys are bouncing on bouncy balls JC fell off of his bouncy ball and laughed for an entire verse. Which I thought was just adorable ^_^.

Isn't he just the cutest thing ever? ^_^

I want to say it's The Two Of Us, because it starts off with the carnival music and they're playing around with the stuffed animal prizes and such. But that's so.cute. A whole verse! He laughed through a whole verse. That's just... aaah! What do I even do with that?! Thanks for sharing the story.

Yeah, that may have been it. I'm not sure, though, because I think the song may have been more high energy than The Two of Us. I can't remember, though. However, you are more than likely right. And as for the cuteness? OMG! Most adorable boy ever! ::loves him oodles::

Oh yeah, and check this out (http://www.livejournal.com/users/_dragon_/86370.html?mode=reply). You may want to read it. Lovely story, it is ^_^.

I have read it! And it was lovely indeed. Gave me warm fuzzies, it did.

It's such a fuzzy fic. I love it ^_^. I had actually read that story ages ago; around the time I first started getting into slash, I believe, so around two years ago. I haven't been to that site in ages, but I remembered how much I loved that fic, so the other night I went in search of it. I was so relieved it was still there! ::happies:: It's so purdeyful.

I don't have audio, but I know JC messed up a line during I Want You Back at the Seattle show many years ago. They were on the NSA Tour, and JC apparently opened his mouth to sing his solo, spaced out for a second, and then burst out laughing. I wasn't at that show, but friends reported it, and I *think* one of the local newspapers even mentioned it.

Excuse me for a moment.

*Ahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!1!!eleven!*

Ahem. Yes.

Oh my good god, that is beyond precious. It might be the story I have the vaguest memory of hearing, but man, thanks so much for filling in the blanks. I Want You Back! I-Want-You-fucking-Back. That's so priceless. I mean, if there's a song to flub, that one is so far down the list of possibilities as to be nigh approaching ludicrous in its likelihood, no? And he just burst out laughing. Love it. I can totally see it, too, JC just freezing up there, all choreography and lyrics gone from his mind, and then dissolving into laughter for a long minute before jumping back into it. And then the guys razzing him during costume change. "I Want You Back, Jayce?" Hey, you can't fault the boy for originality - I'd be willing to bet no one saw quite that coming.

I need my MSG tape so badly right now, you have no idea. But thanks so much for dropping the note.

*still giggling*

I'm glad to hear you say that... not glad that you have insecurities, of course, but I feel exactly the same way about mine. :)

Being left too long to one's own thoughts will do that. Making the time's been hard on my schedule, but it's all part of integrating that back into my life. It's mostly just insecurities and nagging that I'm throwing the order of things out of alignment. Glad to know I'm not alone, too. :)
