Bono said it better than I could.
Firstly, a very happy birthday to
tallories, as lovely and lively a chica as you'll ever meet. *mwah* It was fantastic to huddle with you in SoCal and I can't wait until the next event, fandom or otherwise, throws us together again.
My work is posted under the Story, Headline, and Save columns of the office's Best of the Week board. *beams*
Housing situation deliberations continue. I think I'm giving up my home of two and a half years either way, whether it's moving in with Staci or finally shacking up with Miranda. I'm sick of the roommate situation and just really want to live with someone I like as opposed to merely tolerate.
Talked to my killjoy of a father this weekend, who reacted to my Alligator gig just as I'd predicted - "But why aren't you writing?" Fuck you, man, can you not discern the happiness in my tone? Can you not try to taint my success just once? But then, as noted, I know better than to hold out hope for that.
Not that I'd seriously wish such heathen things, but I was wondering what JC would look like with his hair cropped as short as Justin's has been recently. Ask and you shall receive - someone on the JJB just posted a manipulation. Verdict? Not bad. But I prefer his hair, which is luscious and gorgeous and so soft it makes me weep to not be able to touch.
Finally! Someone else who understands the sheer bizarre creepiness yet perverse hilarity of those new Quizno's commercials. I'd hoped they were a weird, Gainesville phenomenon, as our local businesses are known for their odd advertising, but alas, no. So.weird! They like the pepper bar! I have no words at all for those commercials. Synchronik does well, though.
Dude!
fuskeez posted about a singing gig Lance is doing for a Mississippi scholarship fund in October, and I am so there in so many ways it's not even a question. Road trip!
Joss' post about the cancellation of Angel is totally heartbreaking. It's good to hear they planned to wrap up this season somehow, but sad to hear they won't get a chance to explore all the new territory they're laying the groundwork for. *sigh* Network television - I have a rant brewing about that, too.
I, like everone else, cried like a wee teenie girl at a boyband concert over the pictures from the gay marriages that took place in San Francisco over the weekend. Go here to see them for yourself.
This weekend's been a first in my checking LJ for real in over a week and a half. I've been a-skimmin' like a fool, but over the past two days I went back and actually read, caught up on all the pictures and media, commented here and there, squeed for some and groaned along with others. *hugs LJ* I've missed you. I've not even listened to any of JC's radio interviews, although they're lined up like dutiful little ducks on my desktop and believe me, they're next. That is if the generous
ink_stain's copy of Sean Bean reading King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table doesn't get here first. Guh.
Jules: "I'm bitter that we have to go to school tomorrow. I think any day that closes banks should mean we don't have to go to school. What if I was feeling patriotic? What if I wanted to do something patriotic tomorrow?"
Staci: "Like watch TV all day! That's patriotic."
[ETA: May we never have another issue like tonight's. Holy good god. How did this stuff make it past the copy desk? I was night editing and about three thousand references to 'transgender' and 'GLBT' students were corrected at the very last second (for the record: 'transgendered' and 'LGBT' are the correct terms.) We won't even go into how many stories didn't end or the number of spelling errors or the egregious fact errors (the most illustrious of which being 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, not, in fact, 2,000). *scolds all the copy editors* I guess having Bloody Sunday in my head at Publix was somewhat prophetic.]

Oh hey, you were looking for that Darkness video, right? I found and downloaded it, but I wanted to make sure you still needed it before I uploaded it for ya. :)
Re:
And so a Lance road trip. If you live in the greater Florida/Georgia/Alabama/Mississippi area, I'd be happy to have you along!
Re:
I'll upload tonight and post a link for you tomorrow for the video. :)
Re:
The Darkness - I Believe In A Thing Called Love
Let me know when you've got it so I can free up the room on my server. :) Enjoy!

There's a manip of JC with his head shaved? *looks around*
Re:
If it's the one I'm thinking about, it's gorgeous. It's JC's face very skillfully manipped onto a pic of shaved-head Justin (he's sitting down, one hand behind his head, I believe). Can't remember what the shoot was for...
Anyway, it made me think of a slightly older JC. I loved it. Have no idea why I didn't save it the first time around!

Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmm...
Re:
Re:
*stares some more*
Re:
Isn't it something? I love the curls and I'd probably cry if he cut it but, yeah. I *love* the way that looks.
Re:
*blinks, then starts staring at your icon instead*
Where's that from?
Re:
Beautiful, isn't he? It's from Rock in Rio, which I haven't seen. I need to order that DVD. Behold! Larger size!

Re:
Here's hoping JC never cuts that gorgeous hair of his. :)
Re:
Which is freaky weird because I thought the same things.
1) Hot older guy. ;-)
2) Hot guy recovering from illness.
Here's hoping JC never cuts that gorgeous hair of his. :)
I really hope not. But when he's older and still hot and gorgeous and he *does* cut it, I know what he'll look like. ;-)
Re:
Re:
I've always thought that he'd age beautifully. He has so far, at any rate. :-)
Re:

Ack! I've been looking for that since *forever*!!! No one's ever answered my pleas (another board, foolish me). Can you post the link? Did you save it? I hope it's the one I'm thinking about...
