First of all, and certainly of greatest import - a fantastic birthday to [livejournal.com profile] walkingshadow, who turned the big 2-1 yesterday. It's a pleasure to have her as my partner in crime, Broadway musical recital, fandom, Trivial Pursuit and concerted slackerdom alike. She'll never Baker Act me, is ever-amenable to ice cream, and hands-down one of the acest kids there is. Love you, babe, always.

We actually began celebrations Monday night with Smirnoff Triple Black and Krispie Kreme doughnuts obtained on my walk home from work. Good times as we chilled in her room, passing the can back and forth and just talking, who can remember what about just now, but yes.

By some small token or mercy, our Editing assignment was an extra credit Copy Editor's crossword puzzle. Subsequently holing up in Einstein's was a fabulous idea as well, and I got to experience the power of coffee. I've never drunk it to stay awake before, but I went from near sleep to fully conscious in about five minutes, something being awake for over three hours hadn't done. Mmm, vanilla hazelnut goodness.

You've already heard about our anti-climactic Swamp outing and the subsequent parcel which was anything but. It might still make me grin just to think about it.

Man, the sound quality of my bootleg recordings? I could dance with how glad I am to have JC singing Let's Go Crazy preserved for posterity, and that outrageously well.

I am listening to Schizophrenic on endless repeat these days, and am delightfully anticipating the day when I have every lyric committed to memory so I can bust out your fabulous live recordings again. I want to sing along with him the next time I listen. *g*

I think Let's Go Crazy was just a particularly wonderfully captured track - whereas Build My World and some others had the heavy bass and other songs had too much screaming or whatever else, this song is heavy on the guitar elements and vocals, and it just sounds amazing, like it did live. *hugs it tight*

I can barely keep from singing along even not knowing the lyrics! *g* Though with this album, it's good to watch out how public a place you're in, eh?

I think they're all wonderfully captured. ;) But beyond that, once I'm familiar with the studio tracks, listening to your live recordings again will be like getting an all-new version. And for me, that's fabulous. More anticipation! *hugs* This album's gonna last forever!
