It's a good thing silentfire loves me so much - she was bombarded with more JoLa pictures and squee than any tertiary fan should be subjected to first thing in the morning.

I was late to American History for the first time today and didn't miss anything more than my prof's usual opener. The ex-boy claims he doesn't start class until I walk in (which I can't refute insofar as he does seem to say, "Let's get started" right as I'm sitting down with marked frequency.) Which might make me a bit giddy, not to mention continue the trend of teachers I write for liking me. Which might be contributing to even greater giddiness.

This free time thing hasn't begun to feel any less luxurious. After class, I swung by the Murphree courtyard and partook of the hamburger cookout, drinks, and bouncehouse with xalxuffasch, where we goofed off and talked for close to an hour and a half. Good times.

Watching someone say someone else's name at an inopportune moment loses none of its dramatic effect for me.

Bought my ticket to the Sunset show as well because, oh, hi, that clause bolded and in all caps on my French syllabus about the speaking part of my exam being absolutely un-make-up-able? Not so much.

This weekend is looking to be fantastic. Movies I want to see! No work! But for tonight, it's mostly going to be all about food that requires chopsticks. Because beyond the fannish core and latent insanity, I am but a simple girl.

Uh, I usually let Schiz take care of planning, but that sounds fantastic to me. Man, that's gonna be a great room - damn the $3,000-a-night suite, Lance will be wanting into our party! *g*

*squees some more* Unbelievably excited. Are there road travel arrangements in place yet? Were we planning on getting into Vegas on maybe the 20th to get some insanity in before the hardcore stuff the next day? General admission shows have their appeal, but man, that waiting in line thing is no friend of anyone's.

Well, I don't think anything's written in stone yet. I just figured I'd reserve the room and I could always cancel if we decided to do something else.

As for getting there a day early, sadly, some of us have to work! If you younger chicas can go a day early, more power to you! But I expect CWD and I will be arriving on Wednesday.

There'll be time to discuss details between now and then, though. The important thing is: tickets! And that's taken care of.

I keep forgetting that just because we're doing this, the world won't stop turning. The week before I leave will be nothing short of academic insanity. Le sigh. We might just do what we did for Boston and snag a good table somewhere and make nice with the bartender and rock out instead of spend the entire day waiting in line, which I expect we'll do plenty of in Los Angeles.

Tickets! Indeed. Just waiting on the French department verdict now, but yes, there will be a post involving much bolding and italics and caps when that's settled, too.
