I'm really digging JC's turn with the Jaxx on Top of the Pops. Everyone probably thought we were all exaggerating our raves of JC-as-rockstar back in December, but there it is.
There was a boy playing guitar on the third-floor landing of my hallway Wednesday night when I got home from work. I listened to the song from my landing, and he came to peer down when he was done at the same time I went to make myself known, and it was a really cute movie moment. His name is Chris, in a band with two other Chrises, and writes his own songs and lyrics, mostly pop-flavored Jude and acoustic Third Eye Blind stuff. We talked production and today's radio, which was cool to do with someone who's been on the brink of Big Things. Good times.
As empirically tested by lunch today, Chipotle is no Moe's. Not by a long shot.
My 'write first, figure it out as you go along' guerilla technique isn't working on a fic I've been working on that's spent the afternoon making Swiss cheese of my brain - and all I'm doing is trying to plan! Interesting and, yes, learning experience, but no less maddening on its merits.
I might need some sort of ice cream thing later tonight.
Oh, and GIP the second. Because open shirt collars are definitely a yes.
