Eyes this way, babe.

Got all kinds of gussied up last night, but ended up staying in reading fic and watching Donald Trump on SNL, sadly neither of which being as satisfying as the Toffee Nut Latte I was craving. But I figured going to Starbucks alone on a Saturday night would've probably made me the epitome of lame, so it was better this way.
My ticket to the Sunset Show came in yesterday's mail, which I got right after a dream of yet more snogging of selfsame boy - MMC era though, and I was on the show with him. Interesting.
Kim Possible was cute. Self-referential humor is something the boys do so well and willingly. Lance doesn't like fish! And one of the other boys ribbed him about his dancing. Heh. I laughed myself a little bit breathless at Hello Hello Hello. And speaking of the Bassman, I feel more than a little pervy admitting how hawt he was drawn.
Made a 71 on the Entertainment Weekly All About the '90s pop culture quiz, which they deemed 'superfly.' Cool.
Despite the very college townie-ness of it all here, there were no copies of Tony's album in at Best Buy. Outrageous! I want to listen to Catch Me something fierce.
Bought three magazines at Barnes & Noble though, and in addition to the four that arrived from eBay, I'm positively swimming in teenie goodness. You know, I never wallpapered my room with anything as a teenager, but I'd wager there's enough for a half bath just in these alone.
There were sparkly flip-flops and an orange/pink-striped shirt at Old Navy, along with a shrink-wrapped shark towel. It's currently the size of my box of Starbucks mints! Nifty.
Sat outside our little Starbucks/Cold Stone/Moe's/Panera oasis for four hours, and man do I have the sunburn to prove it. Though it only vaguely itches now, I'd like to lodge a pre-emptive 'ow' for later on tonight. However, the weather was lovely, sunny and breezy and perfect for reading and extended phone calls. Mmm, an afternoon spent with Harry Potter and
silentfire. I felt so decadent, having the time to just sit there and be for a long minute.
The commercial with the car that "recognizes" its driver and can be turned on keylessly by a twist of a wrist? Very cool, yet somehow, unsettling.
Quote of the Day:
"You don’t have to keep doing this stuff for me," Joey said quietly, the heat of the candles already dampening his skin with sweat. Someday, Justin was going to burn some poor fucker’s house down. If Joey was lucky, he was going to be that man.

Date: April 6th, 2004 10:46 am (UTC)Oh, good. Because you know, lusting after their animated selves was simply too much. ;) I've got no illusions here - the color and model of my handbasket have been picked out for a while now.
It was! Fantastic phone call. And whoo! Dates! Good times. We'll run into each other on AIM tonight, oui?
