Excuse me as I take a very deep breath...

And shout from the rooftops.

An Amy just called to tell me CEA finished processing my application, and that congratulations, I've been accepted to study at the Sorbonne! For four weeks! I'm going to Fraaance!

I might need a minute. And a tissue. Because, France! The Sorbonne!

I'm so beyond excited, I don't think it's actually hit me. France! The Sorbonne! My brain didn't function for a second after she told me. Everything sort of... stopped for a moment. Wild. Thank you!

Congratulations! If I knew how I would've said it in French...instead, pretend I said it with an accent a lot like Inspector Clouseau's. :)

Eeeeeeeee!

That is fabulous news. Congratulations!

So when are you going exactly?

Wheeeeeeee! Congratulations! And La Sorbonne? Wow, I'm beyond impressed. :-) And well, you probably won't, but if you do have time to visit a little bit, I'm two hours away by train, and my town is beautiful. *giggles* Although there is quite enough to see in Paris to keep you occupied for four weeks, lol. But yay! France! We're good people, really, we are. :-)

Whee! Congratulations!

(My first thought when I saw "France" wasn't Notre Dame or the Louvre, it was "pastry!!!!")

[identity profile] gjstruthseeker.livejournal.com 2004-04-06 06:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Je pense que c'est vrai, oui. Si pas, personne connaissait.

That was onlymaybemostly right. But I've got two months to get it there! Fraaance!

Thank you. I'm out of my mind excited here.

[identity profile] gjstruthseeker.livejournal.com 2004-04-06 08:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you, thank you, thank you! *twirls with you* I'm so, so excited, it's barely even real. Eee! France! I've wanted to see France longer than I know, but studying at the Sorbonne! *swoon* I, yeah. Just, yeah. Thank you.

[identity profile] gjstruthseeker.livejournal.com 2004-04-06 08:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Aieee! Thank you! *still running around* I'm excited half out of my wits. France! The Sorbonne! Eurooooooope! Don't think I won't come harass everyone I know on the continent if at all possible. ;)

[identity profile] gjstruthseeker.livejournal.com 2004-04-06 08:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank youuuuuuuu! I'm beyond ecstatic, but that's the highest LJ's happy spectrum goes. *g*

The program begins on the 1st of June and goes until the 28th of the same month - four-week program. Half the reason why I chose this specific program was because it was at the Sorbonne. The other half? It would get me back in time for Challenge, even if I cruised the continent before returning. It's a beautiful thing.

[identity profile] gjstruthseeker.livejournal.com 2004-04-06 08:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Out of my mind, yo. I'm sky high on it all. France! I'm going to see Paris! And live there! A whole month! I'm positively beside myself - besides London, it's the city I've always, always wanted to visit, and eee!

[identity profile] gjstruthseeker.livejournal.com 2004-04-06 08:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you! And yo, there will be more pastries than strictly healthy if I have anything to say about it. Oh, man, France. Europe! Cannot wait.

[identity profile] gjstruthseeker.livejournal.com 2004-04-06 08:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you! God, I know, the Sorbonne! Me! Me and the Sorbonne! *swoons* Honey, besides momentary shock and Paris!, my first thoughts after she told me were definitely of you. I'd love to come see you, but I have no idea yet what the schedule will be and such, so I'll have to see what that's like before planning everything. I'd love to see as much of the continent as possible, and meeting you in addition to that would be a real treat.

[identity profile] gjstruthseeker.livejournal.com 2004-04-06 08:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you so much! I'm beside myself, really really outrageously beside myself. Paris! The Sorbonne! And they want me. *boggles* It's nuts, man, I cannot wait at all.

[identity profile] tallories.livejournal.com 2004-04-06 08:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow! Oh, that's wonderful. :) One of my biggest regrets from my college days was not studying abroad. Make the most of the opportunity! I'm sure it'll be the experience of a lifetime.

[identity profile] gjstruthseeker.livejournal.com 2004-04-06 08:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you! And yes, France! Paris! The Sorbonne! It's mad, yo, just crazy cool. I'm going to soak it aaaaaaaall up. Whee! *twirls*

[identity profile] gjstruthseeker.livejournal.com 2004-04-06 08:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Felicitacions! Or some approximate spelling thereof. Which I will have time to learn because eee! Paris! The Sorbonne! My head is still swimming with it all. Merci!

[identity profile] gjstruthseeker.livejournal.com 2004-04-06 08:22 pm (UTC)(link)
It's positively crazy! This is absolutely the best I could've hoped for in study abroad, city, school, timing, all of it. I cannot wait at all to immerse myself in it all, the culture and language and atmosphere and soak it all up like so much 5'6" of human sponge. Cannot wait at all.

[identity profile] meinnim.livejournal.com 2004-04-06 08:30 pm (UTC)(link)
The other half? It would get me back in time for Challenge, even if I cruised the continent before returning.

Cool! That's one of the reasons why I asked you. I wondered if you'd be back in time for CFTC. Priorities, man, you gotta have priorities. The boys are definitely a priority in my book. *g*
