An Amy just called to tell me CEA finished processing my application, and that congratulations, I've been accepted to study at the Sorbonne! For four weeks! I'm going to Fraaance!

I might need a minute. And a tissue. Because, France! The Sorbonne!

Wow! Oh, that's wonderful. :) One of my biggest regrets from my college days was not studying abroad. Make the most of the opportunity! I'm sure it'll be the experience of a lifetime.

It's positively crazy! This is absolutely the best I could've hoped for in study abroad, city, school, timing, all of it. I cannot wait at all to immerse myself in it all, the culture and language and atmosphere and soak it all up like so much 5'6" of human sponge. Cannot wait at all.

I don't blame you! And actually, I just found out last night that I might be going to Italy early next year, and... yeah, ten months away and I'm already beside myself with glee. :) Now, for the most important question - you'll have Web access over there, right? ;)

Oh man, I can't even think about Web access in terms of 'if.' I would absolutely not make it through the month if it were any other way. If nothing else, I think it's safe to assume the school has computer labs, otherwise it's Internet cafes for me! But yeah, Web access is not negotiable.

Wow, you lucky thing. :) I've got my seminar next week, actually, so I won't be able to make it out to the California shows. I'm scheduled to be working in LA the week of May 3, but I'm catching a quick flight to Chicago on Friday morning for the two shows out there before heading back to the west coast. *pants for breath* Lots of travel, but it's JC! It'll be worth it. I just hate that I'm going to miss the west coast crew on this go-round...
