aruanMy bed was so nice, all fresh sheets and softness and it occurs to me that I was awake for over twenty-four hours straight yesterday, yet am fully functional on six hours of sleep. Dig that crazy human body.
There is to be a Dell technician and a shiny new video card at chez moi tomorrow, so hopefully the trip updating can begin. What I'll do is put it up in chunks, backdating all the entries, and post about the process in this journal, then everyone can do what they like, from reading it all to skimming for the, rest assured, cut-tagged picture posts.
Catching up on LJ in half-hour shifts seems to be a good method for keeping sane in the face of the truly insurmountable task that it is. In between, there's been I Love the 90s (Dom Monaghan doing the MC Hammer dance... thing! Bwah!), Edy's Espresso Chip ice cream (v. dangerous), a rerun of last night's Conan (how I've missed that man!) and the best thing I've seen on television in forever - Crossballs. Dude! They have real experts who don't know they're debating comedians who only play one for the show on current events! Zany and insanely funny.
My puppy is sighing and moaning as if the whole world has forsaken her. I keep trying to reassure her that my (our?) mother will come back, will always come back for her, but she'll have none of it, moping as she is about our two long-term houseguests who are departing today. It just gives me a reason to cuddle her even more than usual. Puppy!
