it's the morning after
Jul. 26th, 2004 07:06 pmMmm. How I love my first real meal after Challenge. Which is to say, my first real meal in four days where I don't feel sick at the mere thought of food and can eat a normal portion. I lose about 3-4 pounds every year just from not eating because everything goes straight to my stomach, especially worrying. When I come down with a cold, my stomach hurts before my nose ever gets stuffy. Anyhow, had a fabulous meal of Southwestern Eggrolls at Chili's at FLL, and I apologize to everyone who had to watch me eat it.
Mah girls! Had to put
raaone and
sassygurl both on planes home today, which sadly means Challenge is officially over. Not the party yet though, because
giddyupnow is here until Thursday thanks to accomodations made for Miss Britney Jean pre-Outrageous snafu. It's a good thing we're not going until tomorrow as, besides being sunburned and tiiired, it stormed the entire late afternoon. As it's wont to do in the subtropics during the summer, yet there hasn't been so much as a light drizzle since Thursday. Seriously, there was some soul selling done for this weekend's weather situation.
Which is all to say, hello again, Challenge was wonderful, I'm expecting the delayed reaction to finally seeing them perform together to overwhelm all my faculties any second now, but the thing I'm really looking forward to is a real night of sleep for the first time in five days.
In closing, this is really old hat to everyone but I just read it, and as someone already said, I want to have this review's babies. Now that was a tall, cool drink of water.

Date: July 30th, 2004 06:52 am (UTC)You know, the lack of shirtlessness this year was truly lamentable. But the anthem was a whole lot of wonderful, so it all evened out in the end. And yes, let it not go unsaid that Challenge weekend is as much about the great people in all parts of the country and world we never get to see as the boys themselves. Speaking of which, I had no idea you were in Belgium! I took two trains through there over the course of things! Damn it, I really should've done better at taking names and running into people. However, know that should you ever find yourself in the Florida area, you've got a place to crash.
And that's a mighty pretteh picture of JC in that there icon. Mmm. Is it recent?

Thanx for the offer of a place to crash in FL. I'll definitely keep that in mind :)
And the picture of JC, it's from May. Attitude Magazine photoshoot. You can find the large scans in my LJ here (http://www.livejournal.com/users/digital_diva/256768.html?mode=reply) :)
