Anyone buying a computer, especially a laptop, should spring for whatever a three-year manufacturer's warranty costs, because it's saved me about the price of mine ($3,000) over again in the past seven months - the tail-end of my policy. Nothing wrong before, and all of a sudden it's the LCD, the video card, the CD-ROM drive, and the power cord all within that timespan.

In other news, there is no news yet. Got back from Orlando in the wee hours of yesterday morning, then spent the day running around to various airports and finally collapsing for my first real night of sleep in... a longer time than I can remember. It's been over a week. But a good week! I'm sad to see my Extended Weekend remix of Challenge VI end with
giddyupnow's departure, but it'll be nice to be able to play catch-up.
Not that everyone hasn't read 23107345673 accounts of things by now, but the annual illustrated Skills/Game posts are in the works and should be up by the weekend. *takes a deep breath* Two weeks, people, two weeks to do everything I need to before school starts getting in the way again, and how it's almost the end of summer siesta, I can't fathom.
marrymehowie posted an interesting item involving a Democratic fundraiser event on the 31st of August at Crobar of all places that lists Jive as the talent. As record company execs aren't known to play either instruments or look good in skimpy outfits, I'm thinking label artists. If it coincides with the Movie Awards, I might break my non-attendance policy of the place.
