Fulfill the primary directive!
Aug. 17th, 2004 04:48 pmThough sadly, not even a whole afternoon of Trek could wash the taste of today, and it's so, so far from over. But it's mostly kind of high-end, ergo cut-tag.
I've been expending energy not taking psychic sources on the JJB seriously about yet more of the same dour Justin news, actively not thinking about Lance and the seemingly increasingly serious girlfriend, the concept of which I don't object to for the record - it's entirely personal toward her because on the rare occasion, I too can be irrationally petty.
And there is tonight, which will bring seeing my grandmother in the hospital makemesickhatethemmorethananything, omg) and dinner with my father afterward and packing up my life as best I can estimate it to fit into a 12x9 dorm room for the five-hour drive to Gainesville on Thursday.
That was cleansing. And my puppy totally felt my pain when the National Weather Service interrupted the dramatic climax of the last Trek episode to inform me that the severe thunderstorm warning for my area was cancelled. They couldn't have run a banner along the bottom of the screen? Anyway, I was lying on the sofa but sat up and wailed at the injustice (because it's that kind of drama queeny day), at which she placed her paw on my knee and looked up at me with the most concerned expression a dog is capable of. Puppy!
In other news, at least I'm not this girl. *shudder*

Date: August 18th, 2004 07:16 pm (UTC)As for Lance, yeah. Am I wrong? I usually have a pretty good sense about people, but it's not like I've ever met the girl, just pictures and whatever vague proximity Challenge afforded, but I just don't like her. At all. And I'd feel guilty about it if it was out of some selfishness, but mostly, I just want something good for the boy, and so far as I'm concerned, she's not it.
