You're absolutely correct - I read your comment on the topic. I'm only saying that if that specific reason is what stands in the way of Justin attending Joey's wedding, I'm going to be disappointed if it's true. That's just me. I don't believe Justin has anything but love in his heart for the guys - he wouldn't miss the wedding out of something stupid like spite that he'd use the event to cover up.
I mean, if he were, I don't know, committed to a touring schedule - which I understand is what a press junket essentually is, the difference here being is that he's not the star of the show but a fairly marginal contributor - that'd be entirely different. He has a show that night, no, he can't just up and cancel because Joey's finally set a date. But the scenario, as it is, if that's the truth? Would disappoint me. That's all.
As far as the he's evil comments, there are people who believe that way, but I'm not one of them. He'd be stealing the spotlight if he went? The kinds of crack people smoke, man. If anything, I'm disappointed by Justin not owning his past, but that's the extent of my feelings on the topic of Justin and *NSYNC. I've thought he should acknowledge the group at certain points, but not at every turn, not when it comes to his solo work, etc. I even understand why he doesn't, but I also believe there's a way to acknowledge his past that doesn't hurt the street cred he's spent so long building. He's buying into the press' version of *NSYNC, their background and history and popular opinion, and I admire JC's refusing to just say 'yeah' and moving along when the topic is raised. But Justin's not evil, even if I don't sometimes agree with his overt methods (keeping in mind that I don't know all of them, nor necessarily the motivation behind them).
