Been meaning to ask about something every time I've had occasion to go into the text messages folder of my phone and see two saved gems from Mississippi weekend.
Some wickedly sweet person sent me a couple of delightful messages on behalf of JC and Jessie over the course of things, and while I'd be content 'til the end of my days believing they were in fact from the boys themselves, I'd love to know which of you darling kids with an uncanny touch for JC's voice sent them, hm?
[insert more Web design frustration here] And though I've come up with a somewhat clever theme for the site, it now doesn't go with the sidebar and top banner graphics I've spent the past two days slaving over. *tears at hair*
I'm dragging
walkingshadow with me to see Brown Bunny on Thursday night, not for the on-screen blowjobbery but just because Kelsey was so, so bent on finding a theater that played it while we were in Paris. It ended up being a tiny thing in one of the more questionable areas of Paris where she went anyway. Uh, for those who don't know, Paris has some highly questionable areas. Ergo, movie, in the much safer setting of downtown Gainesville.
William Shatner is playing two shows with Ben Folds and Joe Jackson at the El Rey Theater in Los Angeles on the 21st and 22nd, and all you bitches who are going can choke on my jealousy but bring back pictures.
Fact of the Day:
It actually is spelled fuchsia, after a German botanist named Fuchs. Huh.

Date: October 14th, 2004 09:18 am (UTC)Young filmmakers (Robert Weigel, Eric McCormack of Will and Grace) trying to hawk a movie titled "Bradykillers" about a serial killer who goes after victims Marcia, Jan, and Cindy meet their screen idol, William Shatner. Shatner, appearing as himself, has fun poking fun at his own image. The two young men, who idolize him and in their fantasies have seen him as a shadowy fairy godfather figure, are alarmed at the reality of the middle-aged non-Captain Kirk man that they meet. However, their relationship helps anchor the two more into reality.
At the end, Shatner raps. RAPS.

Also, I've told you this before, but that icon is the best Space Cowboy icon ever. Ever! The human spirit. Oh, JC.
