all that I know is nothing to run from

I resent the notion that there's a way to be happy, the tenets of which are usually being espoused by its varying-degrees-of-unhappy practicioners. I wonder how many people do things because they enjoy them, and how many do the very same because they think they should. I want to know how much the world is actually like I've always been told, who came up with this increasingly abstract concept of "normal," and why a puppy, Miranda, any job that allows me to feel like I'm making the world better in some way even if it only keeps me in rent, food, and a high-speed internet connection shouldn't keep me in the best spirits until the end of my days.

Garden State! *swoon*

I love that movie.

It's sad, but...it's not.

It's also happy but...it's not.

It's such an enigma! Zach Braff!

Such a great little movie. And it's hopeful! It's like Dear Goodbye and its inspiration, Ordinary World, but starting at the happy, hopeful stage of things.

Zach Braff! Man, I loved that boy since the first episode of Scrubs, but he was indeed especially wonderful here.
