Harry Potter essay continues to eat my life. Difficult thing about it is that it's like doing a gridded logic puzzle, where every sentence has three different parts to it, the truth value of which relies on the rest of the sentence and the minutest little detail from another one. Before I'm done, there will be a flowchart made of my living room floor, to be sure. That it's looking more and more like Dumbledore saw Harry's parents as an acceptable sacrifice disturbs me more than you know.

Wednesday nights are my Holy Grail of television. Lost continues to rock, and rock hard, and Regency House Party is just wonderful beyond words. There was phantasmagoria! They put on a play! They held a clandestine party for Lord Byron and the women dressed in drag to crash it! There was a traveling musician who'll return to continue wooing the girls away from the increasingly snooty gents! We consulted the hermit! Also, the men are all unbearable hot and British. If you're not watching, you're seriously missing out on something fantastic.

We went to what should've been Step at 5:45 p.m. today, but the instructor never showed, so another girl stepped in and offered to do a cardio class. It ended up being just Staci, [livejournal.com profile] walkingshadow and I, and we had an absolute blast. The instructor does a class called "I Love the 80s" right before ours, so we just repeated that with this week's theme - Rocky. At one point, she had us running around in circles in victory, but we modified that to weaving between each other and high-fiving and completely changing positions in line in the process. Such fun.

As for Roommate Night? Mmm, Chopstix. Mmm, Mudslides. Mmm, singing the entire first act of RENT at the tops of our lungs. Mmm, drunken arts & crafts. From all of which I now have a fabulous new bracelet that reads parce que oui and a non-fandom-related picture to share with the class. Taken by Staci, it is the assorted paintings produced over our approximately three hours of drunken haze with myself and Miranda huddled into my papasan chair in the lower right:

G'night, all. I'll be up too early to hand out copies of our Homecoming edition of the Alligator tomorrow morning. If for no other reason, be happy you won't.

Quote of the Day:

Stark Trek, huh? Those ears do it for you? What the hell. I'm still lusting over my high school history teacher. Enjoy.

I'm not totally clear how the two equate, but sure. Also, have I mentioned that the only reason why I (finally) passed Calculus was because of my "hotass flyhalf" (thanks, [livejournal.com profile] mirareeves) TA, Chris? Who was also 30 at the time and balding. And yet, there I was, having fantasies of being taken over his desk and later finding a smear of chalk on my cheek. I probably wouldn't have told you that story sober. Oh well.

What a great picture of the two of you and all your pictures. Glad y'all are having fun. :-)

Aaaw, thank you! We're having a blast with it. Honestly, people who've been friends and have move-in-together horror stories? I don't know what to say about that other than to question what they thought they knew about the other person. We've had more fun since shacking up than ever before. It's much easier to have spontaneous fannish discussions and coming back to only one place at night.

Oh, I did, and plenty of it. He was beyond charming, wrily funny, and smart! How was I supposed to have even a glimmer of hope resisting all that?

Thank you. :)

OMG I love Regency House Party!! Am very smitten with Mr. Everett and Ms. Hopkins right now. It needs more of the lord of the manor though. All they show him doing is babysitting the others. Let him have some already.

!!! I was beginning to think we were the only ones who even knew it existed! I have to admit, I have the Crush of Wrongness I know would only end in heartbreak on the lord of the manor, whom I agree gets very little screen time. Gorgeous man, that one. At the moment, I'm a bit annoyed by Mr. Everett's playing of Miss Hopkins and Miss Braund, but that seemed to have worked itself out. Mr. Fox-Smith's affair with Chaperone Davenport though is so righteous. Mazel tov, I say.
