Searching for fic in the popslash fandom is possibly one of the most depressing and fruitless endeavours one can take on. Namely for Amber's fic, which seems to exist nowhere in the world outside of a handful that were Google cached. Particularly, does anyone have Snow or A Floating World stowed somewhere? I know Em's stuff was reposted, and maybe Helen's too (though the Wayback Machine did help me out with Easy Come, Easy Go, blessed may it be), but damned if I've been able to find much of anything else after four hours.

amber's reworking her stories into original fic and has at least some of it published for pay on the web (meaning, you have to pay for a subscription). So I think she's not really in favor of the original versions getting passed around. It's a loss, though, I wish I'd saved them. I learned my lesson, though :)

Original fic, eh? Interesting. Could be done fairly easily with Snow, though some of the other ones make me raise my eyebrows. She's one of those authors I've always found most capable of capturing the boys in context, so the idea of someone else speaking their lines in the same scenes seems not very possible. Thanks for clearing that up - I was wondering why someone would want to erase her Web existence as thoroughly as she's managed.

if you find a digital version of "snow", share with the class. :) i have a print-out, but that is sadly it.

You, my darling girl, will be my first thought once I'm done squeeing at having it to clutch to my bosom once again.

Can't help you with Amber, but all of Helen's stuff is here: http://www.helenish.net/stories.html (just so Easy Come, Easy Go doesn't have to launguish in solitude...)

Word of caution - chapters 42 and 43 are coded incorrectly, so the "next" link won't work. Either go back to the index, or type a "g" before the number in the URL.

Best story ever in the whole world, really.

Ohhhhhh, one of my favorite incarnations of Chris ever.

And Emmy's stuff is here: http://www.waxjism.org/prettylittlew/

For anything that was hosted on waxjism, replace the .net with .org and you'll be set (and if that wasn't the Em you were looking for, well, hey, bonus!)

Thanks for the rec, but the author I'm looking for is just plain Em. She wrote the original hookerfic that spawned all others, including my favorite, Synchronik's Stay the Night and its sequel, Fairy Tale. Her stuff was reposted in its entirety with her permission by someone - the site looks really basic, white background, red story links, brief black text summaries. But whoo, more fic! [wallows]

Heh - funny thing is that I just, about 20 seconds ago, found it. :) But thank you, and I sort of goofed up there with the titles - So, This is actually Sunchronik's remix of Stay the Night. Not that everyone didn't know that, but you can't edit comments, and the record demands accuracy.

if you find Amber's stories, could you possibly whisper the location in my ear? I saved Master Plan for myself, but the rest, no.
