Not much at all. Nothing for the void on the other side, a little wistful for the two co-workers I'll actually miss, lamenting that I'll probaly never work in a place with so much natural light and high ceilings. I'm sure the crippling worry of job hunting will set in any minute now, but this had to happen, for my own health and quality of life. What to even try doing next I can't begin to imagine, but I've got a book and a Starbucks down my street to help with that.

I'm saying CONGRATULATIONS. Because what you did took some guts. So many people stay in jobs that kill them with stress and ulcers and early heart attacks and depression (the list goes on) just so they don't have to worry about where their next paycheck is coming from. You will be fine. More than fine. You are taking care of yourself and everything will fall into place.

Go you! *waves pompoms* Book & Starbucks sounds like a sound approach. May you be inspired and level-headed, enthused and solid in your exploration. Have a wonderful time.

*hugs* I have all the faith in the world that things will work out for you. You're entirely too talented, dedicated and all around awesome to waste yourself on a crappy, soul killing thing.

Much love to you, babe.

Good luck. I'm thinking about quitting grad school for what seems like almost the same reasons. Oh, and I hate what appear to be the career ops. Anyway, I hope I have the same kind of courage when it comes down to it.

Huzzah! Well hopefully you find a better piece of mind at another job. Also, with your new found free time maybe you can spare me a visit :P

If it was that bad, you're better off without it. Best of luck with the search for something new.

what you did took a lot of courage and you definitely stepped in the right direction. Take some time to figure out your direction, and then take your next step. Remmeber that you went the right way.

oh, ignore all my misspellings! I'm getting use to this new keyboard and I have to stab the keys to get things typed properly. It's exhausting, physically assaulting it!
