Are hairdressers taught in styling school not to listen to their clients? That the people who have lived with their hair all their lives don't actually know how it behaves and what to do with it so that it looks good? That in all my years of hair knick-knacks, expensive products, and countless haircuts and styles, I couldn't possibly know what I'm talking about when I sit down in that chair?
