I don't have anything intelligent to say about the X-Men reboot, other than it was an excellent film on proper film merits, because I'm still flailing about trying to textually render all the ways in which James McAvoy is amaaaaaaazing. [GLOM]
Oh, and there's the part where the whole Magneto/Xavier friends-turned-archenemies thing practically turned me inside-out. I thought I would be prepared from Smallville, but no, no, ow, my HEART.

Oh my goodness, HI HI HI. I miss you! How have you and B. been?

Date: June 9th, 2011 04:18 pm (UTC)Having extensively read his IMDB profile, I've never actually seen anything that James McAvoy's been in, but now it's taken over my Amazon wishlist. Remedying, I am working on it.
HI! Things have been pretty quiet here. We moved apartments - literally across the hall, but this one has hardwood floors! We had a cat health crisis that ended up being a protracted, expensive food allergy. B started a new job in the office that he really likes, I'm in over my head with Vampire Diaries fandom (although this weekend will be an epic quest for Xavier/Magneto fic) and it feels good to do that again. Miss you guys like crazy, but with the US economy being what it is, I spend a lot of time not thinking about home because it's not a feasible prospect right now.
