Uh.

Uhm...

Words? I ain't got 'em.
Got someone else's though:

The Calling - Unstoppable

Come and lay right on my bed
Sit and drink some wine
I'll try not to make you cry
And if you'd get inside my head
Then you'd understand
Then you'd understand me
Why I've felt so alone
Why I kept myself from love
And you became my favorite drug
So let me take you right now and swallow you down,
I need you inside

(Chorus)
If we had this night together
If we had a moment to ourselves
If we had this night together, then we'd be
Unstoppable

Do you think that this is right
Or is it really wrong
I know that this is what we've been wanting
And all this is burning in my soul
It fills up to my throat
It fills up till my heart is breaking

(Chorus)

Now, we can both learn
Somehow, you'll see it's all we have
Love, it keeps us together
And I need love

When I wake up without you
Knowing you're not there
I'm only feeling half as good
Well I'm gonna find a way
To wrap you in my arms
You make me feel alive

(Chorus)

All played over the somewhat less overtly romantic introductory encounter between our intrepid gentlemen. I wonder what the instructions for the musical directors must be like.

Al Gough: "Now for this scene, we need something edgily melodic, a tortured alt-rock take on the love song sort of thing."
Musical Director: "But Mr. Gough, this is the scene where Mr. Luthor unceremoniously smashes his Porsche into the Kent boy. Wouldn't some ominous strings or metal be more fitting with the action of the scene?"
AG: "But then where would the subtext be? The meaning, the implications, the foresha--. (clears throat) Ahem."
MD: (pauses a moment and gives AG a wary sideways glance, but shrugs his shoulders in acquiescence) "You're the writers, sir."
AG: (clapping a friendly hand over the man's shoulder) "And that's precisely why you, my good man, are in charge of ensuring that there is enough guitar wailing in the middle to actually use in the episode so Mr. Millar and I still have jobs in the morning."
Secretary: "Mr. Gough, I've got Showtime on line two - they want to know if you'd be interested in some guest writing work during the hiatus. Something about a story pitch you'd made involving... (she listens, wrinkles her brow in befuddlement) Toga Day in Babylon?"
AG: "If you'll excuse me, I need to take this call."
