1a. Only five more pieces of fanfiction ever, what fandoms (and/or pairings) would they be in?
One in X-Files (Mulder/Scully), because wanting to see my name in the Gossamer Archives was what got me seriously writing. Three in Smallville: one Lex/Lionel, one post-Superman genfic I've been working on and makes me cry every time I open it, and one Clark/Lex, with copious amounts of sex, angst, kink and honesty. One in *NSlash (Lance/Joey) which would reach epic proportions eventually involving all the members, reach from pre-Sync to the end of the world's fascination with pop music. Massive and angsty and tragic. All that you can't leave behind, to nick another lovely bit.
1b. Are your answers what they would have been six months, a year, two years ago?
Not in the least. I hadn't discovered *NSlash until a little over a month ago, Smallville a little over four and a half months ago, and two years ago I was between fandoms.
2. Only three pieces of original fiction, what genre(s) would they be?
One espionage, one vampire-themed fantasy, one speculative sci-fi.
3. The feedback you never sent, who would it be to and for what story?
To Jenn, for Sleep While I Drive. I've sent her feedback on other stuff before, but it's this story's praises that I sing on an overly regular basis. For the month and a half I stumbled on it as a Work In Progress, whenever I needed to read something good, feel better, was in the mood for imagery or sex or style or characterization, I'd open it, scroll to any random part of any page and begin reading. Just beautiful.
If you could pick...
1. The story you're proudest to have written, which would it be?
Wow. I've written a grand total of two finished pieces and I really can't choose. I love the Lex of Long After Midnight so much he's getting a chance to take the edge off of sleeping in a sequel. I love The Blue Bottle so much. It still makes me laugh to read it - Clark is adorable when he's snarky, and that damn bottle just begs to be fondled, ogled, appreciated, yet it's so coy - even the labels are strategically placed. They were both remarkably easy to write though, firmly reaffirming my belief that there's an element of Tao-dipping if it's meant to be.
2. A story that you could un-write, which would it be?
I'm going to go with someone else's story, because for some intensely perverse and utterly inexplicable reason, everyone in the fandom loved it when all it accomplished was to torture and pervert two people who love and respect each other. The Sound of Windchimes left me chilled and deeply disturbed. I still cringe when I hear the particularly tinny, high-pitched ones.
3. Five stories you've already read to take with you on an airplane, any fandom, any author, what would you take?
Jenn - Sleep While I Drive
Te - Champagne Wishes
Kitty Fisher - Blood Sports III: Snare
MustangSally and RivkaT - Iolokus
Rhys - Stick Shift Reverse
If you had to read...
1a. Only one published author for ten years, who would it be?
Chuck Palahniuk. The man's a barrel of monkeys to follow and figure.
1b. Would you discuss fanfic with them?
Sure. He'd get a kick. And then he'd write crossover fic.
2. Only one fandom for two, three years, which would it be? (Provided there's enough fanfic in that fandom. Or even the fandom you wish there was enough fic for to last you two years.)
Smallville. There's the possibility for exploring every little action and nuance that eventually leads to the end, or just saying 'fuck it all' and writing one's own, because those boys live and breathe so much more deeply than the television screen allows.
If you could make everyone...
1a. Write something in your little underrepresented fandom, what fandom would that be?
Lance/Chris in *NSlash. Anything and everything by everyone, and somehow I get the feeling it would all be good because it isn't possible to just throw something together when you're trying to combine the two of them.
1b. Would it be all one pairing, or anything goes?
It could be any pairing. Some lend themselves better to certain styles, situations, conventions, but the preference is as aforementioned. Plus, how much do you love the looks on unenlightened people's faces when you say 'TrickyFish'?
1c. Read one published novel, which would that be?
I'm fairly certain I could read The Art of Seduction a few times over and over...
