Last Night:
Hour of Power at Paul and Rod's. What are the chances that you share two posters out of the three you've got on your wall and the five the former has on his? That's what I thought. Made it through the entire songset, thank you, although the shoes and shame got cast in the corner for better enjoyment early on. Mad props to RJay, our Mad Mix Master on his delighfully whimsical song choices. Good to know I'm not the only one walking around with Cleanin' Out My Closet in my head. Fabulous group of people unafraid of singing (that was the single most rousing rendition of I Will Survive) ever. Stripping with two seconds to spare in the frantic desire *not* to be lobbed into the pool with jeans on. Swimming. Socially-abused substances abounded amidst recounting of eating shark and too much detail going into the vomit part of the Barrier Reef story for a group of drunks. Met some new, reconnected with some old, learned to love beer in association with plenty of bathroom access.

Today:
Publix is the ultimate one-stop spiritual cleansing, purposeful loitering outpost, and cleanest fun to be had in the tri-county area. Five Star rocks my little world. $8.99 for the best pizza I've had in this town and garlic rolls that made my toes curl and took me good places, all delivered in ten minutes flat. You're all impressed.

The fic may've been *NSlash (and JC/Eminem is just not a pairing I *ever* would've envisioned) on the monitor, but it was Smallville in the ears:

Ultimate Rage Against the Canon Song: Flickerstick - Lift (With Love We Will Survive)

Ultimate Fuck You, Canon Song: Better Than Ezra - Sincerely, Me

I Am Yours In Any Way You Deem For A Story Incorporating This Song: David Cassidy - I Think I Love You

Tomorrow:
-Read something other than Julad and Rhys, preferably dinosaur-related.
-Start doing something about meticulously highlighted aerobics class schedule.
-Bake too many cookies.

Weekends make it all worthwhile.

And their chocolate chip cookies are like crack. I wouldn't be surprised to see a cartel spring up one of these days.

You should've read my mind and told me that yesterday! ;) I bought Chips Ahoy, which leave me disappointed but for the grace of 20 seconds in the microwave. I can almost close my eyes and taste some real ingredients in there...

Heh.

They're a little expensive, but so damn worth it. Publix bakery cookies are like gold.

you're consciously asking for a story incorporating a song by the partridge family? do you realize how scary that is? ;)

Most *excellent* icon, first off.

The business at hand: Do you know the lyrics to I Think I Love You? Do you know the incendiary visual I get every time I hear its beginning chords? Oh, it's Lex making an impromptu lunchtime visit to the Smallville High cafeteria and both of them bursting into the chorus standing on the tables and slowly making their way toward each other among lunch trays and milk cartons until they meet at the center in a crescendo that the whole of the school has taken up, all ending in a climactic kiss right there in front of God and Kansas administration alike.

There's a whole lead-in in the beginning with both of them waking up in the morning and switching off verses. It's a video. There are so many (more pointedly, not many out of the question) things I'd do to see them to do this in a fic. Or anything, really, just set to the song.

Did I ever tell you about the musical I'm concocting? Good god. That one might have to end up as a group effort. But how much do you love people randomly bursting into song and dance?
