Slept the sleep of the overly stressed.

Had no reason to. I really am quite *stupid* sometimes for all that IQ I'm supposedly packing.

Article and homework got gone, interviews got watched. Dinosaurs went unattended, and for that I mourn.

Got paired with one of only three boys in my lab section for the personality profile, and the only one resembling cute. His name is Rhett. Yes, he's gotten all the bad Gone With The Wind jokes.

Shelter access rocks my socks. Word to Dacey and co. for the truly wonderful labor of love.

I can't *believe* I made it to aerobics tonight. Must've really taken this time.

I have the bestest best friend in the whole wide world. Coffee soon, love, promise.

Gotta decide whether I can put up with everything going home will entail, preferably by tomorrow as bus reservations don't make themselves.

What is love? Dealing with the post office first thing on a Monday morning. Don't think I don't know it.

{{hugs and love and rainbows and puppies and glitter and mana redeemable for stylish yet affordable new life accessories}} to [livejournal.com profile] pierydys. But it was all right because we talked each other down from ledges, and she's smuggling me a pair of rollerblades which I have been charged with providing asylum for - spheres of doability and all that. Let the Colombians come! I'll never tell! ;) You know I'd be out in LA in a heartbeat if I had the wherewithal not to starve once the reckless journey of a thousand miles away from anyone who'd back that sort of venture was completed. But in a little over two weeks, there will be reunion, museums, all the tall structures we can climb and plenty of what makes life worth living, not the least of which will be Joweee!

And on that note, a commercial break:

Round-trip plane ticket to New York from Miami: $151.00
Round trip bus ticket from Gainesville: $35.00

Round-trip plane ticket to New York from Orlando, thus saving me about six hours of driving time and $40.00 in gas: $155.00
Full tank of gas: $20.00
Parking in Orlando for four days: $16.00
Those &%#$ing toll roads: $10.00 all told

Not having to pay for the sleights of my aging, shortsighted brain: Priceless

Some things money can't buy. For everything else, there's the big picture.

Tomorrow:
-call Dell people. Douglas is really beginning to worry me.
-personality psych test. Look over notes for three minutes and ace it.
-do laundry, for god's sake already
-there will be a decent meal, as it is in fact
-TUESDAY! I am shockingly unspoiled.

Quote of the day:
"'Hi, my friend told me I should call you again. Not because I particularly want to talk or hang out, though that's nice enough, but because I need photographic evidence. And hey, would you mind arching your eyebrow and wearing this glitter? Smile like an accountant. Or a shark. Because that's hot, baby.'"
-A perfectly reasonable request, IMHO, to make of a straight man speciment bearing the kind of striking resemblance to one sexy blond bitch that makes hope flutter like butterflies in your belly. I {{heart}} that boy more completely and mindlessly than anything else *ever.*

Two weeks! :-D And everything will work out, because it always does. Except for this whole studying crock. *looks askance at her books* And I'm not gonna buy anything new for the trip because I fully expect that we will at some point go shopping there and it's much more fun to come home with more clothes than you brought. Especially if they're sparkly ones. Yay!

Studying, quite plainly, sucks the Yeti's big toe.

There's a shortage of sparkly clothes in SoCal? Surely you jest. ;) It'll be amazing, I just know it. We'll manage until then.

Oh gosh no, no shortage of sparkly clothes... *checks closet* No, really, no. *cough* Though the feathers might be getting a little out of control...

I just meant that I'm not going to buy any more for the moment because it'd be much more fun to shop with you in NY :-) And because they have an H&M there and I'm all for the stylish yet affordable thang.

Yes! I've heard of that! Apparently, ridiculously stylin' clothes at won't make your mother cry prices.

And Ikea! I need to see real Ikea products. The idea of disposable furniture makes me smile even as the college student within formulates ideas about marketability for such items in the hazard-prone Gville party climate.

You don't have IKEAs? Wow.

Admittedly, I mostly go there to buy ginger thins, Swedish chocolate and the occasional sheepskin rug. It's definitely a college/20's sort of aesthetic, though, and one that I'm fond enough of. Lots of cute utilitarian stuff, with wacky accents. There very definitely is an IKEA "look" that you can point out in some magazine spreads and people's homes. It's probably about the same price as the furniture they might have at Walmarts and such, there's just a lot more variety and they all have wacky Northern European names with lots of syllables. Heh.

I came hilariously close to embarrassing myself the first time I saw that icon of yours. My favorite by far.

Swedish chocolate and sheepskin rugs in the same store? Now I know why we don't have IKEA here - most of the average denizens of SoFla couldn't handle the shock.

I think this reply was just me calling you out to make more Lance icons. Heck if we get into it, I might pay for this account just to join in on the fun.

I need PhotoShop so bad.

*g* Get your butt in gear and make more icons, then. You have no excuse now ;-)

Except for Photoshop. Which is coming.

<--- enabler of all sorts of bad bad things. *g*

I fear no graphic design challenge.

Although I really, really should know better than to even idly suggest that *anything* is beyond of your sphere of influence.

*mwah* to the nth degree, darling. Nothing but the utmost love.
