But first, word to one bodacious chica by the name of Angela. She is, quite simply, the ubersuper, and I'm bragging-rights lucky to call her my friend and fellow fangirl.

Also, she is the one to contact am I to crack my skull on the ice tomorrow from delerious visions of Lance that will dance in my head long after I've made enough icons to do justice to the spankin' new paid account.

Today:
-Overslept morning skate. Served to directly inspire my environmental/health/science article idea: the detrimental effects of improper and insufficient sleep on young adults. Proposal with requisite sources e-mailed to Mr. T all in time to get sexy bitched up again to meet Jon for coffee. Delightful evening, as usual. Though with all that decaf ordering and back complaints, you'd think he was the one getting old. ;)

-Being home, I now have access to all my delightful delightful media once again! Music: hear Reel Big Fish do Britney! JC starts a rousing ode! Extended interview clips of Lance with his sexy southern drawl of an accent! ::sniffle:: How I've missed that four gigs of media binging.

-Bassez has stolen my good sense. Namely, JC has been endeared to me over the span of pictures, fic, and real life events. Yes, of course he's always been outrageously pretty, but the kitten claws hadn't sunk in until very recently. Somewhere between realizing that lanky, sinuous body, a series of soul-melting to sultry smiles, getting back into the whole starving artist chic thing, and the fact that a bigger dork you'll be hard-pressed to find. Oh, JC. To you, my heart. A marching band movie soundtrack as your solo debut? Touring with Tony as arguably the most famous groupie ever? And that bright, primary-colored rainbow sweater was just beautiful and utterly fodderliscious. Admirably appropos for yesterday's festivities as well. There's no closet on this earth big enough for a fraction of this boy's essence.

-The Freddy/official site caption fiasco. The JJB has its pluses, not the least of which being the pretty pictures, not the most of which being its inflammatory nature at the slightest hint of rumor.

-Chocolate cake. With a fudgy middle layer and ringed by mini chocolate chips. I refuse to feel even a mockery of guilty.

-The [livejournal.com profile] giddyup crew can consider themselves properly challenged.

Tomorrow:
-Personality profile due in writing lab instructor's mailbox today. I can fake it in an hour and that's more than good enough to revise later.
-Minimum six pages on pretentiously dense texts regarding the existence of closet monsters and the infinity of space, contemplation of which tends to send people into just the sort of catatonia that Existentialism is charged with inducing. Nevertheless, I intend to triumph. It's all about faith.

Long-Term:
-I am singlehandedly starting an 80s revival, spearheading it with efforts to bring marvy and tubular back into common usage. I but follow the signs - Travolta's chic again, remixed disco rules my aerobics classes, and Britney Spears has picked up the recent slack in Rainbow Brite love. I but cry 'White suits, disco glitter, and dated slang for everyone!' It's not just for the "cool" kids anymore.
-Get a job that pays enough to allow me to fly to New York for a weekend of not much else but indulging my inner teenie, then, approximately two weeks subsequent, fly to Los Angeles for yet more of the same, only this time for one night and back in time to swing Harpold's class the next afternoon.
-Finish at least one WIP in the next month.
-Lose thirty pounds.
-Ski the Alps.
-See *NSYNC perform live.
-Move to Los Angeles. Not starve.
-Go to England.
-Experience weightlessness.
-Not die for as long as humanly, scientifically, or technologically necessary, whichever comes last.

Somewhat in that order. I can roll with punches though.

i hate to be the voice of reason (no, really- i do), especially since you were on such a roll about your 80s revival, but just as a note- john travolta in a white leisure suit contracting saturday night fever was a 70s thing. maybe you should look into legwarmers and big hair ;)

your other goals were admirable, but when will we be able to bask in the light of your creative genius? i want to read your stories!

miss you, babe. i'll be seeing you next month, though. yay! for visiting gville :)

How could I forget legwarmers!? Oh, and rainbow-colored slouch socks! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! And big hair is always fun. :)

Not that Erika was going for the effect in any way, shape or form, but this, ladies and gents, is how you get in my pants - charm them off by referencing my "creative genius" and demand that I stand and deliver because otherwise your life is a darker, bleaker landscape. {{love}} Hon, you have no idea what your relentless encouragement means to me, as a writer and elsewise, even if that results in popslash, pretty much your anti-genre of choice, in your inbox. Thank you.

Next month?! This is news to me as well! I mean you're always welcome, but MegaCon isn't until February, so what's the what?

Wooot! Is it then -- how do you say? -- "a done deal"? You have worn the will of the parents down to a tiny nub? ::prepares to perform the dance of extreme joy:: Let me know which week you picked. We might even have bearable weather for you! Of course, I can't guarantee anything but the company. ;)

You seriously need to be online more. I discovered dS wav files the other night and giggled helplessly for two hours straight. There was almost an incident with drinking water, but it ended well.

Leg warmers and big hair? Makes me want to watch Working Girl again. Course, that might have something to do with Harrison Ford. Who can say?
