oh, it's on
Nov. 23rd, 2002 03:18 pmI realized that I haven't had a chance to work on my site in forever and that it is now utterly nonreflective of my pseudo-recently diversified interests. So, if whoever got me for the challenge has already looked at it, please check back in a week or so when it's been properly updated.
Apparently, people are conducting deep background searches, digging up high school acquaintances and e-mailing friends to find out about their assignments for this thing. I mean, I'm all about personalizing it, but I was just going to read their fic and go through their LJ/blog, get a feel for what they like, their style, what they'd appreciate. Fine print, people!
My assigned is someone I know tangentially from offhand comments by friends and a few lj comments here and there, but when I saw her handle I'm like 'I know her some other way.' And it bugged the begeezus out of me until I figured out that it was in fact from 'some other where' and that I'd read an epic of hers in another subset of fandom that consumed my existence for a week and was probably singlehandedly responsible for my conversion regarding the character. Daunted? I won't admit to not whimpering at the moment of insight, but am happy to report having been properly assuaged since then. *mwah* They know who they are.
Today was going to be research day, which basically and rather rapidly devolved into great conversation, splurging on DVDs, and looking up prices for a decent-sized external hard drive. Eh. There's a song about the new dawn...
Somewhere in there, I lost myself in miscellaneous audio, too. Jazzed Celebrity? Reggaed Bye Bye Bye? These kids have more fun at their shows than God did creating the world, I swear. And probably criticized as much for ever having gotten out of bed that morning.
