get out of my head

Song: The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most
Artist: DashBoard Confessional

buried deep as you can dig inside yourself,
and covered with a perfect shell,
such a charming beautiful exterior.
laced with brilliant smiles and shining eyes and perfect posture,
but you're barely scraping by,
but you're barely scraping by.
well this is one time,
this is one time that you can't fake it hard enough to please everyone
or anyone at all, or anyone at all.
and the grave that you refuse to leave the refuge that you've built to flee
the places you have come to fear the most,
is the place that you have come to fear the most.
buried deep as you can dig inside yourself and hidden in the public eye
such a stellar monument to loneliness.
laced with brilliant smiles and shining eyes and perfect makeup,
but you're barely scraping by,
but you're barely scraping by.
well this is one time,
this is one time
that you can't fake it hard enough to please everyone
or anyone at all, or anyone at all.
and the grave that you refuse to leave the refuge that you've built to flee.
the places you have come to fear the most,
is the place that you have come to fear the most.

the rain won't come, and i get nothing, just the sound of the wind whipping at the canvas above my head and the engine humming in time to the pressures of my foot as i drive into oblivion.

he's just amazing. and that song was just what i needed driving home that day. i've been rec'ing him to all the people in miranda's dorm because quite frankly, anyone who hasn't heard his stuff hasn't heard the truth of life set to music. and we can't very well have that. not while morpheus is still around.
