Not having seen the past two weeks' fare, this probably wasn't my episode to dive back in.

Suspicion is fun, kids! Jumping to conclusions even moreso! Smallville was the equivalent of some sort of nefarious Olympic Games of WhoDunnIt tonight. I give it an 8 for technical presentation and about a 2 for plot plausibility.

But hey, what else is new?

Must I discuss the plot? I was paying about half-attention midway through. The way they resketched the events each time was nifty to watch, but like I said, the actual solution was so, so far into the left field of outer space my teeth felt grimy after what I'd been made to swallow. So, to the one resonating point of my viewing experience:

I've got three words for you: "Are we okay?"

But wow was it dark for a while in there. And honestly, the reconciliation came much too easily for the blood they both shed in Lex's office earlier in the episode. Then again, Lex has prior history with letting things ride (not slide) with Clark. Sigh. Love is a many splendored thing indeed.

Yes, I choose not to lay blame with the blatant backpedaling on the writers' part so as to keep the Clark/Lex dynamic on the chummy side until one of the girls gets involved in the inevitable trainwreck of their fates. I fucking hate that word.
