Wow. Anyone ever surprised at the intensity of their own reactions? Like, 'Oh, I didn't know that was in there.' I think I freaked out on Miranda three times over the phone today, and am apparently really upset at this whole cat fiasco - I don't remember ranting like that and then bursting into tearful sobs since my little brother stopped teasing me to that point years ago. I may have had a terribly stressful day on top of the cat/home issues so tomorrow, I'm thinking springing for something excessively sweet from Starbucks. Mmm, heaven.
Update on that - I caught my hall director friend in the commons and she found my RA and managed to scour up pretenses to have her go to my room and have a chat with the roomie. I'm not sure how things went beyond that, but the bottom line is that no matter how I feel about it, cats are against housing policy. Just really not wanting conflict with her over it.
Anyway. Went grocery shopping and had dinner with Miranda last night, both excellent ventures.
I dropped the upper-level film studies class from last night, which is a shame as I did want to take it but was honest enough with myself to know I didn't like the subject matter enough to do the work. I've since signed myself up for second-year French, which I'm really looking forward to. History of the American Revolution, my absolute favorite era in American history, is first on the schedule tomorrow, at the very human hour of 10:40.
I might have wholeheartedly embraced journalism. I like the news, especially entertainment stuff but really I'd love to work in any newsroom, television or newspaper, seeing what gets filtered or edited or hyped.
In fandom news, JC made New Year's a week-long celebration, has taken to wearing more suggestive shirts and will allegedly be performing on Leno on the 15th (huzzah!). Lance the darling boy consoled Britney at the Palms after her pseudo-marriage fiasco, which is just right sweet and made me go aaaw. Oh, Britters. *hugs her tight* No one can accuse you of not living life to the fullest, eh?
( My wishlist for 2004: )
