I think it's time to get on the floor
Aug. 27th, 2004 12:34 amWhile getting up this morning was no easier than yesterday, the class was much more interesting - we even took a survey of our views on the powers of the First Amendment. Interesting sidenote: At some point, I gave serious thought to having that tattooed somewhere. Not surprisingly, I believe in a very liberal interpretation, but am ambivalent should the microscope be turned on me. Can't have it both ways though.
Got back in time to have lunch with Miranda and Staci, who both told me they'd better see me here tonight, or else. It's so cool to be cared about like that - I can just see them barricading the door and unplugging the phone if Natalie tried to call me in to work.
There was napping before Photojournalism, which I wasn't terribly impressed by. We congregated in our hallway for a roommate conference and made an executive decision of booze and sushi for dinner, so Staci and I headed out while Miranda placed a call to Sushi-2-Go. Despite the sketch name, v. excellent nosh. And of course my hair looked needlessly fabulous for that height of glamour, the liquor store run. However, there was Hypnotiq scored (no, it's actually not pronounced hypnotic, but thanks, liquor store inventory boy) and the entire house is now as in love with the Hypnotiq/pineapple juice goodness as I am. But at over $24 a bottle, I'll have to keep it in moderation. But maybe it's for the best, as I'd be a consummate alcoholic with the proper assets.
And then there was drunken interviewing, watching Staci freak out over A.D.I.D.A.S. and Come To Me and random *NSYNC footage for a good hour. We're truly a merry band here.
