I got sucked into the marathon, too.

Though thanks to friends, I'm unable to watch the end of STIII without substituting the dialogue, "You Klingon son! You killed my bastard!"

Trek is the fandom that got me into slash in the first place, though it wasn't the K/S. The first slash story I ever read was a ST:VOY story called "Tom, Dick and Harry."

I really want a Trek icon that says, "My fandom did it all first."

Such a very good thing I was done eating the peanut butter cookie one of the girls brought into work before reading that, or it would've ended up all over my monitor. Bwah! I loved the third movie something fierce. But then, same for the first and fourth and, well, yes. It would seem I've succumbed after all these years. Honestly, all people would've had to do was show me some of the early stuff. All this hoopla about Picard, etc. didn't really do it for me, but man, Kirk and Spock? They had me from their first scene in a room together.

I really want a Trek icon that says, "My fandom did it all first."

And it would be a fantastic icon.
