Oh, fair Paris, how will I ever leave you? Well, on the EuroStar come next week, but still!

Which is to say, welcome to the phase of my trip where I just want it to go on until I'm good and ready to move on, which isn't next week, but so it goes. The rest of Europe awaits! I am all aquiver with excitement. Today will be shopping, as it is the first day of mad discounts all over the city, and the Louvre, as my mother will put me on the next plane back if I don't make it there, and Kelsey has agreed to come see a show at the Moulin Rouge with me, which should be fantastic.

A few notes:

Firstly, [livejournal.com profile] beatpropx, I need your address so you, too, can have a Parisian postcard - iwan2kno@ufl.edu, or leave and delete a comment. [livejournal.com profile] walkingshadow, I hope London is wonderful and that you'll make it out here before I leave. [livejournal.com profile] giddyupnow, kick those finals in the arse. [livejournal.com profile] crazybutsound, those Lyonnaise pillows were amaaazing and I miss you already. [livejournal.com profile] raaone, thank you so much for organizing everything for Challenge. [livejournal.com profile] xalxuffasch, hope all worked out on the employment front and that you're otherwise gainfully spending your summer. [livejournal.com profile] coolwhipdiva and [livejournal.com profile] runerinrun, as the two I consider my fashion-savviest friends, I think of you often upon browsing St. Michel and Galleries LaFayette. Thoughts of JC, which come no less often, are always accompanied by pangs for [livejournal.com profile] without_me and [livejournal.com profile] geminigirl38.

Which is to say, as I've done so before and will do again, I miss you all terribly, and while enjoying myself immensely in the process, cannot wait to get back to the real world. As it were.

Order of the Phoenix update: Book 5 is alternately disturbing, lagging a bit, and confounding as I feel there are too many things going on that I can't sort out. However, only being on page 399 of it, there's plenty of time for things to get more topsy-turvy. But that Umbridge woman had better bite it, and hard. Words do not do justice to my horror at her detentions.

P.P.S. I love my fabulous Parisian hair and shall look into the French equivalent of fruit baskets for the stylist. Orgy of vanity update to come.

Sounds like you're having a great time, not that I ever doubted you would.

The Moulin Rouge! I can't wait to hear all about your trip, and you better plan on bringing some pictures with you to Challenge!

Didn't quite make it to a show at the Moulin Rouge, though I hear the movie's better than the real thing. And yes, the travel journal will happen, as soon as I get computer issues and being back home sorted. I can't even think about it all right now, and good thing too, as there are two more weeks to frolic freeeee! Including Amsterdam, and somehow I think that'll help me forget about many a thing.

Shopping in Paris - I can't even imagine! Enjoy!

Shopping in Paris is a bit of a tease, actually, as none of the big designers partook of the sales, and the dollar does still suck a bit against the Euro. But it was nice to browse! I'll make it rich and famous and take Paris the way it ought to be next time around.

I did find a job, and in fact I am at it right now, wholly not working. Good times.

Glad your having a blast in Paris. Miss you bunches, babe.

Hey there, are you still planning to come to Munich? Can you remind me of the probable date?

Glad you're having fun!

Just dropping this right quick. Definitely still coming to Munich. I'm going to England on the 29th and should be in Amsterdam on the 5th or 6th, from where I'll take a train to Munich to arrive around the 8th or 9th, depending. Let me know if that's all square with you, and I'll be in touch through e-mail and phone as soon as I know anything less nebulous than that. *mwah!*

Okay! Thanks for letting me know. The 8th and 9th are good for me, but I will be busy all day on the 10th -- my chorus is recording a CD. But you're welcome to be here and explore the area alone if you want, I can give you a housekey.

On the 11th we are leaving to go to Connecticut for a week (househunting). Will you be headed elsewhere by that day? You're welcome to stay as long as we're still here. I think our flight leaves around noon on Sunday the 11th, so we'll be headed out sometime mid-morning. Hope this all fits in with your plans!

No worries on the 10th - I'll probably be traveling out that night, so with a rudimentary working knowledge of the city already in place and having dropped off my stuff at the station that morning, everything should be fine. So glad you're getting to record the CD with your choir, yay!

And oooh, Stateside househunting! Even more exciting! We'd love to have you back on this side of the Atlantic.

More details as I have them, but currently, I don't even know how I'll be making it to Amsterdam, so one thing at a time.
